RANDALL | SEGREST is committed to maintaining the highest level of service to our clients and customers during the outbreak of COVID-19 and committed to doing our part to slow the spread of the virus.
To maintain delivery of services and slow the spread of the virus, we have implemented the following procedures in our office:
- We will periodically clean contact surfaces in our office including between meeting with clients and customers.
- Our staff regularly washes hands, including after all contact with clients and customers.
- Hand sanitizer and antibacterial soap are also available in the office for your use.
To maintain delivery of services and slow the spread of the virus, we have implemented the following procedures with our staff:
- Staffing in our office will be limited to one to three persons working in segregable portions of the office where staff will not have contact with one another.
- Our remaining staff will work remotely.
Real Estate Closings
Interaction. We will refrain from initiating hand shaking and will minimize other close contact with you.
Split Closings. We will schedule closing appointments for seller(s) and purchaser(s) separately.
Delivery of sales proceeds and proceeds of cash out refinances are easily delivered via wire transfer at no additional cost. Prior to closing, we recommend you confirm your bank’s wire instructions and provide to us at closing. In addition to the name of your bank, the name of the account holder and the account holder’s address, your bank’s routing number for wire transfers and your account number are the only information needed.
Limiting Attendance. We encourage you to limit those attending closing to only necessary parties, i.e., the seller(s), purchaser(s) or borrower(s). Loan officers and real estate agents are welcome but discouraged from attending. We also understand many closing attendees have childcare obligations. We will work with you to accommodate you as you care for your children.
Curbside Service. We are very happy to meet you at your automobile to sign closing documents.
Real Estate Agents and Other Stakeholders. We are happy to present Property Disclosure Statements, Declarations of Acceptance and other documents to sellers and purchasers on your behalf or work with you to have these documents e-signed utilizing our easy to use e-signature solution.
Your Other Concerns. When delivering our services, we will work with you in any way we can to reasonably address your concerns.
Client Meetings and Delivery of Documents
Most of our attorneys and staff will be working from home. Most will maintain some time in the office. We are happy to meet with you in person when possible. However, we encourage the use of meetings by telephone, video conference or other remote means. Most of our client meetings are by telephone anyway, therefore, we do not expect this to be a disruption. Delivery of documents should continue by e-mail, mail and fax. When necessary, documents may be dropped at our office.
